Laura + Chris

Laura and Chris were an absolute dream to work with. Nothing, not even a summer downpour, could lower their spirits or dampen their overwhelming joy. We are so happy to share their wedding from last summer at The Country Club of Virginia. Kate Phillips masterfully planned this event and effortlessly guided us through a tricky set-up, and Kim Stockwell Photography beautifully captured every detail.

About an hour before Laura and Chris were due to be married, an unexpected storm flooded their outdoor ceremony site and forced us to make a last minute location switch. An important part of our job is remaining flexible, collaborating with other vendors, and sometimes finding creative solutions to problems. Along with Kate and her incredible team, we moved the entire ceremony site, including a very lush arbor covered with white peony and roses, to its new home on dry land.

Laura’s cascading bouquet in classic whites and greens, featured trailing sweet pea and honeysuckle vines that perfectly complemented the wall paper in her bridal suite.

Vines were woven into the reception as well, twisting its way up the bar and tucked into the fluffy garden style arrangements. Simple eucalyptus garlands adorned the long farm tables, and hanging chandeliers were dripping with greenery.

Congratulations Laura and Chris!
