We were thrilled when Type A Society reached out to ask if we wanted to collaborate as a floral sponsor to help bring the The Sketchbook Series to Richmond. This two-day intensive workshop held this past spring at Paisley + Jade, taught students how to use sketching as a tool to enhance their business, engage their imagination, and clearly communicate ideas in an artistic way.
We wanted to create something that would inspire the class, and give ourselves a challenge to explore shapes and textures we don’t usually get to play with during the wedding season.
Centerpieces were filled with dusty pink roses, bronze heuchera leaves, and iridescent butterfly ranunculus topped every table. The cake, made by the confectionary geniuses at Sweet Fix was placed on Paisley + Jade’s round arbor was decorated with pussy willow, flowering branches and a tangle of dried palms.
A large sculptural, floral table-scape adorned the dining table. We used a twisting log of driftwood as the foundation of our arrangement, and used tulips, protea, dried poppy pods and palms as well as blooming branches to round out the design.
