Lauren and Ian's autumn wedding took place in the enchanting gardens of Tuckahoe Plantation. Guests sat for the ceremony in a clearing lined by birch trees, aisles clad with lush cascading greens.
Lauren's bouquet was a mixture of cafe au lait dahlias and blush, peach and white garden roses, contrasted by sprigs of viburnum berries and finished with a long, trailing ribbon. Ian's boutonniere drew inspiration from the bridal bouquet; mossy greens, finished with berries and midnight blue ribbon. These charming details and the joy of the day were beautifully captured by Mary Otanez Photography
The reception took place in an open air setting where the styling drew inspiration from the garden and the forests in Maine where the couple originally lived. Flowers were composed naturally, as if growing in place in beds of moss. Planner, Lindsey Kennedy of LK Events interspersed these settings with tapered candlesticks in copper and brass holders which only enhanced the magic in the dimming light. Colors were of a similar palette to that of the bridal bouquet but with added eggplant and deep red accents which helped to transition from the daytime feel of the garden wedding between the trees, into an evening of festivities of dancing under twinkling lights.
Congratulations to Lauren and Ian!
